A website that I find myself visiting more often than most, or maybe more often than I should is Twitter. Twitter is currently my favourite social media platform and has been for a few years because of the diversity of content that it offers as well as the way it delivers real time information quicker than you’ll find it anywhere else. My Twitter universe revolves mostly around sports, friends and news but the possibilities of accounts you can follow or twitter ‘worlds’ you can enter is endless. Anyone can use twitter to and create a unique twitter world for them themselves that will link you to all of your favourite interests. Although the idea is very similar to Facebook the real reason that sets Twitter apart is the way that live information travels through the site so much faster than any other website or platform in my experience. For example, when Jimmy Garoppolo tore his ACL yesterday playing in Kansas City, it was trending on twitter before any other broadcast mentioned it or any headlines were published on any other major news website. Similarly, when massive news stories break around the world, often times they will be trending on Twitter before the mainstream media will publish a story on their website. If you haven’t given Twitter a shot before I highly recommend it as it is a platform that can personalized to anyone, even if that means using it just to find new memes.

It is interesting to see how the example you used in this instance was sports related, as I myself use Twitter as my primary news source with a particular focus on news from the sporting world. When I discovered the "Moments" section, I was able to streamline the news I was looking for as all the sporting news was in one timeline and required no further searches nor did I have to sift through a variety of other tweets to get to the news I wanted. Approaching this from a more neutral view, this ability to streamline your news to particular interests, whether it be sports, politics, academia, allows for amore personalized Twitter, in a sense, that you can choose to look for, or you can stay on your home timeline that would include everyone you follow.
