Blog Post #1: One-Stop Destination For All Things Beauty
A blog in the internet universe which I am currently very into is All In The Blush, a makeup and beauty blog. The creator and author, Katy Komaromi, writes about product reviews, makeup how-to’s, get-the-look posts, and about the latest beauty launch news; she claims her blog is a “one-stop destination for all things beauty”. However, my favourite aspect of the blog are her “dupes”: a list of almost exact replicas of a new or popular lipsticks. This is very helpful to me because if I discover a beautiful new lipstick coming out which I want to purchase, I check her “dupes” list to see if there is a lipstick I may already own that would replicate the colour. In addition, there may be a “dupe” which is less expensive, or more easily accessible, which I could buy in its place. I am very passionate about makeup, and love to learn about new products or try new shades. All In The Blush allows me to learn more about upcoming releases and even saves me money. With 73 lipsticks (and counting!), I find it very crucial to not overlap in my collection and I consider Komaromi’s insight very useful in my makeup exploration.
This blog post I found very intriguing because I am also a big fan of makeup and love to explore new products, trends, techniques, etc. After viewing Katy's blog through the link you provided I found it very appealing to the eye, with social media connections, a lot of content and tabs to the various features she provides. It seems like it is a very easy and useful blog to follow, which is crucial to gain followers! Even though I enjoy makeup, I have never been one to spend hours on YouTube watching countless videos to learn about product reviews, makeup techniques, looks, etc. However, I like how "All in The Blush" is a one-stop destination, as you put it, that provides all of these features. This is a website I would like to begin to follow and test out... Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis blog post immediately caught my attention as I also have an obsession with makeup, and learning about the different ways, styles, and looks you can create. I enjoyed how vibrant and colourful her blog was, as it offered a very inviting appeal to it at first glance which, as a reader is something that you want. One aspect of this particular blog that I enjoyed was the fact that she doesn’t just give tips for makeup, she also provides advice on a total skin care regime, which is very important to a lot of women including myself. I definitely will be visiting this blog more in order to get advice and tips about different makeup brands, certain products to use and not to use, as well as learn more about the different products that are applicable to my skin type! Thanks for sharing!!
